Rossana is a licensed mental health professional who specializes in adults, couples, and family counseling, relationship and parenting concerns, women's issues, developmental transitions, adjustment disorders, depression, anxiety, spirituality, career issues, intimacy, attachment, and self-esteem difficulties. Rossana graduated from UNC-G with a B.A. in Psychology and a M.S. EdS in Marriage and Family Therapy. Rossana also graduated from a university located in Southeast of Brazil with a B.A. in Education and Student Orientation. As a practitioner of mindfulness meditation, Rossana believes that getting in contact with the feelings and the body can be an important resource in the coping process. She is a qualified MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) teacher and holds a certificate in Biofeedback from The HeartMath Institute. Rossana's approach to therapy, either with individuals, couples, families, adolescents or children, is to facilitate client's journey into finding resources and skills to increase awareness of themselves. She strongly believes in encouraging compassion and awareness.
