Calvin Young is a veteran of the United States’ Army, psychotherapist and addiction counselor with over two decades of diverse practice. He is a trained mental health clinician, holding graduate degrees in Human and Organizational Development, Psychometrics and Counseling, along with an earned PhD in psychology. A specialist in trauma work, with a background and grounding in addiction assessment and treatment that is very strong. He conducts both general mental health and forensic clinical psychological evaluations as an expert witness; a VA-credentialed assessment clinician, and integrative psychology practitioner, trained in complementary mental health approaches. His treatment philosophy is shaped by an acceptance that a successful psychotherapeutic care requires clients' input at all times and within every aspect of the work we do together.
