I believe that every client is unique and should be treated as such. My goal is to focus on my client's individual needs and create a treatment plan to cater to those needs. This is a collaborative process where the client will be encouraged to be a part of their own treatment. After all, you are the expert on your life! As a person-centered therapist, I view the therapeutic relationship as the most important aspect of treatment. Once that relationship is established, I assess the client's needs to determine what interventions will help them reach their full potential. Additionally, I am an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapist and use EMDR Therapy for clients who have a history of trauma or adverse life experiences. When we heal the pain of our past we can live a more satisfying and fulfilling present. I believe this is an essential step in building the future you have always desired. I also provide treatment to families who have experienced trauma using Child-Parent Psychotherapy. This approach encourages healing for the caregiver and the child though the relationship.
