Heather Fichtel Davidson is a New York State licensed child psychologist and board certified in neurofeedback. She is currently the Director of Child and Adolescent Services and the Director of Clinical Training at Behavioral Associates on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. She conducts neuropsychological and educational testing evaluations for school enrollment, individualized education plans (IEPs.), and child custody cases. A unique aspect that is included in all neuropsychological assessments is the use of qEEG (brain mapping). She also works with adults and specializes in the treatment of adult ADHD, as well as anxiety and depressive disorders. Dr. Davidson uses a combination of cognitive-behavioral, parent management, and bio/neurofeedback approaches. She has extensive experience in virtual reality exposure therapy for the treatment of phobias such as a fear of flying, public speaking, and school refusal. She holds certifications from Columbia University and The Albert Ellis Institute. Dr. Davidson received her Bachelor of Arts from West Virginia University and both her Masters and Doctorate from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She has presented at multiple national and international conferences and live news broadcasts and is currently conducting research with Columbia University on childhood ADHD.
