Jennifer Wilson is a mental health therapist who specializes in working with children, teenagers, and adults struggling with behavioral concerns and mental health related issues. She finds the work incredibly rewarding, identifying needs behind behaviors, feelings, and thoughts, and creating empathy and compassion beyond power struggles or difficult dynamics in order to improve family health and individual functioning. Wilson believes firmly that trauma occurs in relationships and is healed through relationships. Wilson greatly values the impact of healthy and safe relationships in therapy and beyond to create meaningful connections with others and to improve one's overall mental health and wellbeing. She has experience working with children, teens, and adults, using play based therapy, attachment therapy (TBRI), and incorporate elements of CBT, DBT, IFS, neurofeedback, and ACT. Wilson is trained in EMDR therapy as well as has been a trainer for Motivational Interviewing.
