Nicole D Shifflett is a Licensed Social Worker who has been working in the field of social work for more than 9 years. She received a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Oklahoma and is passionate about improving the lives of individuals and families within communities. Nicole has experience working directly with survivors of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse as well as survivors of domestic violence and individuals who experienced sexual exploitation or sex trafficking. She has considerable experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults who have experienced severe trauma, and other mental health challenges including PTSD, addiction, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, mood disorders, attachment disorders, and behavioral disorders. Nicole utilizes trauma-informed, client-centered approach to therapy with a variety of techniques originating from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She focuses on the therapeutic relationship to ensure the individual feels supported and safe throughout their healing journey.
